Damp Treatments

Rising Damp

Commonly caused by poorly installed DPC.  Normally a plastic line is installed to prevent water and damp rising, when the liner fails the result is rising damp Step 1:  Identify the source of the damp Step 2:  Chip affected sections Step 3:  Inject DPC cream Step 4:  Dampcrete Step 5:  Replaster treated area Step 6:  Repaint the walls (after 45 days)

Penetrating damp

Commonly caused by leaking water or down pipes, flower boxes, fish ponds or water spray against walls Step 1:  Identify the source of the damp Step 2:  Chip affected sections Step 3:  Inject DPC cream Step 4:  Dampcrete Step 5:  Replaster treated area Step 6:  Repaint the walls (after 45 days)

Descending Damp

Commonly caused by poorly waterproofed parapets, leaking gutters, poorly waterproofed balconies and leaking water pipes Step 1:  Identify the source of the damp Step 2:  Chip affected sections Step 3:  Inject DPC cream Step 4:  Dampcrete Step 5:  Replaster treated area Step 6:  Repaint the walls (after 45 days)
